What makes a good story? Is it the artful way it is told? Is it an original storyline? Is it a cast of memorable characters? Is it realistic emotion?
We, the Sultry Starlets, think that good stories are timeless. They shock us, tug at our heartstrings, and make us laugh no matter how long ago they were first told. To that end we are on a mission to reintroduce the world to some of our favorite tales ever to grace the silver screen from Hollywood’s golden era.
But anyone could come up with a list of good movies and plot synopses. No, what we are after is share an experience, to inspire you to invite your friends over, to dust off our collective creativity, and to reinvent dinner and a movie. Don’t freak out, we’re here to help you host the evening, with plot synopses of our monthly movie picks, menu ideas, and discussion starters. Think of it kind of like a book club but instead of books you and your friends can gather to share a meal, and watch and discuss a classic film.
